A Commitment to the Community
We believe in our ability to act today in order to make tomorrow better.
We believe that our present needs can be met without compromising the ability of future generations to thrive.
We believe that our success is measured by our ability to profit and gain, as well as our ability to improve the lives of people and the planet in which we borrow from our children.
Based upon these beliefs, we are committed to providing the highest quality experience to our physicians, patients and payers. For Salugen Biosciences, quality includes taking responsibility for the local and global communities in which we live, work, and play. To this end, the Salugen Biosciences team of employees, executives, vendors and partners are committed to a process of continual improvement in pursuit of operating a healthy and sustainable life and business. Specifically, we diligently pursue a balance between economic, social and environmental priorities including:
- Provide employees with 40 hours of paid time to volunteer in community service projects;
- Encourage employees through its 1-SEC (Social Entrepreneurship Challenge) program to sit on at least one Board of a non-profit or local government committee or commission;
- Support local school initiatives to promote student health, as well as avoid and reduce substance abuse;
- Support law enforcement efforts to offer alternative sentencing and appropriate medical rehabilitation to inmates;
- Provide full-time employees with a monthly fitness club membership;
- Make direct donations to non-profit causes supporting health and sustainability, such as the Pediatric Cancer Foundation, local food banks, HEADSTRONG Cycling, HCDrugFree, and others;
- Use Sustainable Printing Practices for all its corporate and marketing materials including: 100% Wind Power, Recycled and FSC-certified paper, waterless printing system with vegetable-based inks;
